Who We Are

United Healthcare Professionals Group (UHPG) is a Colorado-based 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization committed to improving access to quality healthcare for underserved and underprivileged families. UHPG brings together healthcare professionals, community partners, volunteers, and advocates who share a common vision of creating healthier communities through compassion, service, and education.

Our Founding Belief

United Healthcare Professionals Group (UHPG) was founded on the belief that healthcare is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. Every day, thousands of individuals in Colorado face barriers to receiving quality medical care due to financial hardship, limited access to healthcare providers, lack of transportation, or insufficient health education.

In Colorado, UHPG works to bridge these gaps by organizing community outreach programs, health screenings, educational workshops, and partnerships with healthcare providers and local organizations. Through collaboration and volunteerism, the organization strives to improve health outcomes and build stronger, healthier communities.

How We Work

• UHPG takes a community-centered approach to improving health and wellbeing. We meet people where they are—at community centers, places of worship, schools, and neighborhood events—so that health information and services are accessible, welcoming, and trusted.

• Every clinical service is paired with clear, plain-language education to help individuals understand their health, recognize risks, and make informed decisions. UHPG also builds long-term relationships with healthcare providers and community partners to ensure that referrals lead to real appointments, continued support, and appropriate care.

• Our work is strengthened by volunteer healthcare professionals who generously contribute their time, knowledge, and expertise because they believe in UHPG’s mission. Together, these efforts reduce barriers, promote prevention, and connect individuals and families to the care and resources they need.

The Need We Address

In Colorado and across the communities UHPG serves, families routinely encounter overlapping barriers to care: the cost of a single visit, the absence of a nearby clinic, the difficulty of arranging transportation, or simply not knowing which services exist or how to reach them. These barriers compound for immigrant families, low income households, uninsured individuals, and people managing chronic conditions without consistent medical support. UHPG was created to meet these barriers directly, not with a single service but with a coordinated set of programs that address prevention, education, screening, and resource navigation together, so that a family's first contact with the organization becomes a lasting connection to care.
